While Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) have been part of charitable giving since the 1930s, they are now the fastest-growing vehicle in philanthropy. Over the past four years, the number of DAFs has nearly tripled, accounting for 17% of annual giving in the United States as of 2022, up from just 7% five years ago. DAFs offer a smart and effective way for donors to support nonprofit organizations.
