Each year, the AQORD Innovation Grant provides $4,000 to support creative, mission-driven initiatives within our membership. Funded through the Lebanon Fund, this award helps organizations launch or expand programs that strengthen services and advance their impact.
Following a thorough review process, Goldensun was selected as the 2026 recipient from a strong pool of twelve applicants. The award was formally announced during AQORD’s 2026 conference, The Gathering, recognizing Goldensun’s Sensory & Wellness Enhancement Project for Adults with Developmental Disabilities.
This project enhances Goldensun’s ability to deliver person-centered care to residents who experience sensory sensitivities and emotional regulation needs. While current environments are supportive, they lack consistent access to specialized sensory resources. By equipping each home with sensory and wellness tools, staff will be better able to respond early and effectively when residents become anxious, overstimulated, or distressed—reducing behavioral escalation, improving safety, and supporting greater independence.
With increased emotional stability, residents can more fully engage with peers, maintain healthy routines, and achieve their individual goals. This initiative strengthens overall service quality by integrating evidence-based sensory support into daily care.
AQORD is proud to support innovative efforts like this, which reflect the creativity, dedication, and leadership of our members. Goldensun’s project is a strong example of how thoughtful innovation can deepen and improve care.
Congratulations to Goldensun, recipient of the 2026 AQORD Innovation Grant. We are grateful for your commitment to advancing quality care and for setting an example for the broader AQORD community.
